Right after refrigerator was installed we saw minor scratch near door handle after the plastic cover was removed. Refrigerator works fine.

I bought this double door refrigerator recently. Previously, I had an old 30-year-old box refrigerator that had the freezer section on top.
I am very impressed with the capabilities of this new refrigerator. Not only does it have a tremendous amount of usable space, but the different levels in the refrigerator section are amazing. Specifically, the vegetable crisper and fruit sections in the bottom keep food so much longer by controlling the humidity.
This refrigerator/freezer is a game changer in my mind.

No extra features just a simple refrigerator and freezer exactly as we wanted no fancy extras that can cause issues no filters to change out every 4-6 months because of hard water in our area this is exactly the kind of product we were looking for and surprisingly difficult to find when you want a side by side so we are extremely happy with this fridge functionality and price

Generally fairly happy with the new fridge. Only problems are it is noisier than our old one so we™™ve had to install sound absorbing panels around it. And getting the temperatures right is tricky. One position and the fridge or freezer is too warm. Adjust slightly, wait a day or two and it™™s too cold. We™™re still trying to get it right.

We still miss our older version of this.
I wish there was an opportunity to add features back in when purchasing. Specifically the snack tray seems to have been removed for cost efficiency.
It is a little louder than the older versions. And due to energy efficiency it does run for much longer stretches. Occasionally there is a slight gurgle. But it seems to run wel, hold it™™s temperature, and should last for another 19 years like its predecessor.

I love the look, the inside layout and especially that it does not have that wasted ice maker space BUT the refrigerator is on its lowest setting and is freezing ALL of my produce, and fruits,milk, eggs, water and juices.

This refrigerator runs so loud, it sounds like a tractor driving through my kitchen. It annoys everyone. Service came out once and did nothing. My 20 year old refrigerator was so quiet. It was a Whirlpool, so I decided to buy another one. Bad decision. I won't be buying Whirlpool in the future after this experience. I can't believe a new appliance can be so loud and so annoying. Not happy with this purchase.

I purchased this unit to replace a nearly identical model that died after 5 years. The new fridge sits extremely low to the floor, with the frame resting a tight 1/16" from the floor. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Whirlpool representatives to confirm if the rollers have an adjustment mechanism and no one from Whirlpool can confirm or deny this. I have been told to adjust the leveling feet, which this model does not have. I was then told that it has no leveling feet, but they were unsure if the rollers could be adjusted. The last rep tried to sell me a warranty in case I damaged it while trying to tighten the hex bolt for what may be a lifter mechanism for the rollers. How does the manufacturer not know this information? Whirlpool, if you read this, please confirm this information here and do not ask me to call you again. This should be a simple yes or no question.
Additionally, the fridge had silicone grease globs EVERYWHERE inside the unit and required extensive cleaning with Goo Gone to clean this up so it did not transfer around the house.

Took 4 months to be delivered. No way to stop from rolling when opening doors, had to put my own wedges under the wheel to stop the movement. Doors swing open all the way quickly if you don't hang on to it, frig is level so that is not the problem. No way to stop it from swinging open quickly. Not too satisfied with this frig. Have to hold on to doors so not to swing quickly

I have this refrigerator for a month and it does not work, called whirlpool customer service and they said that someone will contact me within the next 7 - 10 business days. I explained that I cannot wait I need to have my refrigerator repaired now as I need a refrigerator. They could care less. I asked to speak to a supervisor, when the supervisor called me back, they looked me up for a repair person and she stated that there is no one in my area to repair it. I will have to wait 12 days to hear back from them to see if they can find someone out of my area to repair it. I stated that I need a refrigerator, the reason why I bought one and I cannot wait that long, plus if they did find a repairman they don't know when he will be able to come to fix it. So I am supposed to wait maybe a month. Their customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with, they are all scripted and all spew out the same talking lines, like robots. I told them to send a replacement like tomorrow and they said that they cannot do that. My only option is to wait without a refrigerator for a month or so. They do not care at all about the customer, I explained to them that without the customer they would not have a business. They just said I have to wait and there is no other option. Think twice about buying a whirlpool product, they are pieces of junk. Their customer service is the worst you will ever have to deal with, no compassion for the customer. Whirlpool got my money and that is all they care about, they don't care if the product works or not. My advice is to look somewhere else and do not buy a whirlpool product.

The ice maker tray is too short. When the ice tray gets full, ice spills over the edge of the tray and falls down through the shelves. When I open the freezer door, ice sometimes falls on the floor. The tray is too small, and there is nothing to hold it in place under the ice maker. It just slides around on the shelf. I also have a 24-year-old Maytag refrigerator in my basement that does not have this design problem

I purchased this side by side fridge freezer from Lowe's. It did not take long to come down to a perfect temperature in both sides. There are plenty of compartment/drawers and it has a great capacity.
I would definitely recommend this product. It also has capacity for a dedicated ice making section as an after purchase consideration.

I purchased 2 months ago, and it was finally delivered. It is quiet, and in general very beautiful. The paint however has a couple of blemishes on the front that I cannot buff out. That part is disappointing. It cools and freezes as designed. It moves easily, which is nice for cleaning behind it. Nothing fancy, but very functional. It could use one more drawer or shelf on the refrigerator side, but I bought something online that fits well. If not for the paint abnormalities, this would be a 5 star review from me.

I really wanted to rate this fridge 5 Stars but it falls short of that rating. We purchased black because we are so done with Stainless Steel upkeep. We did not want ice or water because those features also have problems over time. If I were to point out the one con it is that it is a lot louder than any fridge we have owned. It is audible from the living room. I pulled the back cover and the lower front cover off to see if I could isolate the humming sound. I was able to add a little more foam on the front and rear where the coils rest on the metal mount and that helped but it is still a lot louder than any fridge we have ever owned. The newer style high efficiency compressors and the new refrigerants being used mean the unit uses less power but runs longer but I have moved a temp gauge around in the freezer and fridge compartments and the areas do stay consistent or within a couple of degrees. I love the extra room in the freezer from not having an ice maker. Also the fit and finish of Whirlpool™™s black finish is superior to other manufacturers. We know this because we had 2 other refrigerators before this one and they used thinner gauge metal on the doors and the doors have waves in the metal. This Whirlpool fridge is much better in quality of material used and there are no ™waves™ in the metal. The electrical schematic of this fridge is simple. It does not have all the bells and whistles and that means less things to break down. We did buy the 5 year warranty to help give us peace of mind. Overall. I am pleased

I love this refrigerator. I don™™t use ice or want a water dispenser, and was pleased to find this model, without features I didn™™t want. So much more freezer space! The fridge side has adjustable shelves, so I could configure it to suit my needs. Conveniently placed controls are a plus as well. Very pleased.

I like this refrigerator. we didn't get an ice maker or water dispenser because we didn't use them with our last fridge and I'm happy to have the extra space in the freezer. The only thing I don't like is that the door to the refrigerator swings all the way open unless you hold it. That may be because of all the condiments etc. in the door trays but I wish there was a way to stop it from banging all the way open every time you open the door and look inside. As far as I can tell, there is no way to stop this other than holding the door the whole time you are looking for something inside the refrigerator.

My third Whirlpool refrigerator since 1989, this is a nice box and appears to be well built like previous ones but ..... compressor seems to be much louder than all those before. I'm not a neophite when it comes to major appliances. I sold Whirlpool (and other brands) on a retail level as well as wholesale when distributors were used. Offshore compressors would be my guess as to the only thing I have to complain about.

I love my new refrigerator! It has loads of room compared to a regular one! When I put the things from my old into this one it looked empty. lol. It has deep shelves so things don™™t fall out. I got a fridge without the ice machine and it has plenty of room in the freezer.

Died immediately, then died again, and again, and again. We had this repaired 3 times (in the past 9 months). It would work for 2 months, then start to die, get fixed, work for 2 months, then start to die. We finally got approval to get it replaced. Trying to replace it led me to this page and writing this review.

Have had my fridge for a week and I love it. The only thing is when you open the fridge it does move. I was told it would not move it it was loaded up. Well mine is pretty full and it still moves if I don't push against the one handle as I pull the other open. As for the fridge it is running great and is a great improvement over the 35 yr old one I got rid of.

This Whirlpool replaced our 24 year old Kitchen Aid. This new frig has many of the features that our old unit had. The difference is the quality of the construction. Price wise they were very close in comparison. I made the purchase sight unseen. That was my mistake! Never again will I purchase from a big box store.

Like the shelf arrangement and spacing in the freezer part as well as the refrigerator part. Would have liked a third, narrower drawer for cheeses and cold cuts in the refrigerator part. Fruits and vegetables stay noticeably fresher than in our old refrigerator. Nice and quiet, even though it is not totally enclosed on one side.

Great layout, fridge and freezer are nice and cold at default setting. Plenty of space inside, vastly superior to our predecessor which had freezer on top and fridge below. Really easy to see everywhere inside. Slightly annoying feature is that the doors "fall" open once you open them past a certain point, and there doesn't seem to be a tension adjustment for that. Marginally noisier than our prior fridge when running, but not too bad.

I bought this in November and it was delivered in late December. The freezer does not hold a constant temperature. Nearly all of my foods froze then thawed. I give Whirlpool an extra start for sending a service tech, and he will be coming back in a couple of weeks with some parts to try to fix it. But I bought Whirlpool based on the brand reputation and I basically got a broken brand new fridge. I am disappointed.

Bought this when my fridge died. We prefer the side by side design and was glad to find one without the ice maker/water dispenser. Alot more room inside on the freezer side without the noisy icemaker.
